Any man who will publicly lie to and lie on the constituents of his district is a man who lies to himself. We, the citizens and residents of the 1st District are not deceived nor do we think of ourseleves more highly than we ought. However, when you cannot get the council representative to engage in the acitivities and affairs of his own district and is consistently gallivanting all over the city taking care of folks everywhere else but his District's concern, he is of no effective use to the district, the community and our issues. It was a great turn out Monday evening at the South District Police Station with Chief Thomas Hopkins informing the community the "reign of terror" at least for the moment has subsided. For the past two weeks, the two communities of Glenwood Hills and Valleydale Estates have been under siege with burglaries and break-ins of at least 10 homes that we've been made aware of by news circulating around the neighborhood.
