Community Rally - Warren Street Park

Saturday, Sept.10th  from 4pm-5pm - Warren Street Park
Will you be supporting OUR COMMUNITY Rally TODAY at Warren Street Park in Wilson?

Citizens are rallying together from 4pm until 5pm to support our grassroots effort in opposing the zone change to allow a chemical manufacturing plant within the city limits and in the middle of neighborhood and adjacent to the community park. They want to manufacture, transport and store Sulfuric Acid, Ferrous Sulfate and other toxic chemicals mere feet away from residential homes and apartments. Come lend your support, purchase a T-Shirt and learn more about this important issue.
No Chickens & No Chemicals!
Folks who live in this GENERAL area where they want to place this chemical which includes the Rec, Raleigh Road, Barton College, Lee Street, Hines, Westwood and surrounding areas - You really need to understand something. THIS IS NOT A BLACK NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUE SO YOU FEEL YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN THE MATTER.

Let us help you.

Do you understand in the event this plant is permitted to operate on Park Ave and something goes wrong on a given day this company has stated they are not required to have an emergency plan for the surrounding area. So they're not putting one together.

Moreso, the chemicals they are going to use are toxic. Should there be an accident these toxins will be released and fly airborne throughout the ENTIRE community. It's not gonna just stay in the Park Ave area or just in that "Black Neighborhood."

Think about It - Don't Be DECEIVED. Don't Be OFFENDED; BUT DO take it PERSONAL!
OK ... Here's something for you to think about.

IF that buillding where S.T. Wooten once used had caught on fire would your area, your neigborhood have been affected by the smoke coming from that area?

If YOU answered YES to that question this issue concerns
YOU, TOO!!!
