State of the Union Response

And he spoke to me……

The challenge of any leader is to not only accomplish the task, but to somehow inspire and motivate beyond the physical and tangible matters and materials at hand. He or she must be able to cause the laborers and endorsers to see with clarity the past that has sustained, and what should be gleaned from it, the present that presents opportunities for change, and the directions to move from this symbolic mount of privilege, and finally, a future with an intentional place or position that will become another sustained past eventually.

In Living Color

Here's the picture of the defintion of the word ... Idiot. This post has absolutely nothing to do with Wilson, NC. We found the story to be so "pathetic" we couldn't resist not saying something.

People, Patience & Priorities

In the midst of a crisis situation, people need to practice having patience. Simply said. We just finished reading the local story about the standoff situation here in Wilson and boy are we glad it ended the way it did. But it didn't have to.

Surely at the moment this situation turned from routine to extreme, the mindset of all the local law enforcement agencies was safety first. For everybody, including themselves, the immediate surrounding area and Eric Radke. That's how they're trained. The order to serve and protect kicks into another gear when lives are threathened and there is the potential of the loss of multiple lives.

Standoff Over, Safe Surrender

The standoff that began over 12 hours ago off Pack House and Bloomery Rd is over. Eric Radke surrendered himself this morning bringing a peaceful and safe end to the overnight ordeal.

As a community let us lend our support & prayers to this family and especially his daughter who was an instrumental part of keeping the line of communication open. Her courage is to be commended. Excellent work by the local law enforcement agencies for an outcome without incidence.
