Our Eastern NC School for the Deaf

There will be a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 22 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm in the Hardy Alumni Hall at Barton College on behalf of the Eastern NC School for the Deaf. The plans are to close one of the 3 residential schools by July 1. If you can, please come out and support ENCSD. It is between the ENCSD and the school for the blind in Raleigh as to which one will close. By July 1, the campus on Hwy 301 could close and more Wilsonians will be out of a job. Please show support for the school not to close !

We're hearing today,November 22, 2011 that a decision has been made to keep the school open and consolidate the School for the Blind with the School for the Deaf here in Wilson.Now that's "GOOD NEWS!"
