Council Members Deny Public Access

At the City Council meeting on Thursday, December 8th, in a vote of 5 to 2,  Council members decided not to air the "Call on the Audience" portion of the council meeting stating folks were complaining about the same old things and using the time as a platform used to promote them running for office. Council members James Johnson, Donald Evans, Liles Logan, AP Coleman and spearheaded by Bill Blackmon all voted to shut it down.

We've seen no signs of such allegations, however what we see is a local government who is attempting to suppress citizens' right to the first amendment and right to public access of their local govermental affairs and citizens' comments for all to hear. Fabricated lies based on what they believe to be true is no reason to deny citizens their right to public access. Of course, there's more to come. Keep listening.

this is a spineless action spearheaded by Bill Blackman to deny the public the right to question the actions of council and the viewing public the right to view the quesioning of council actions that affect the daily lives of all of our citizens. these little dictators all need to be sent packing.
