AP Coleman:
"We're going to vote on the plan that's been suggested to us that we think and the public thinks will be passed by the Department of Justice."
Council passed a resolution Thursday evening, that sets the stage for the adoption of an ordinance at the September 15th council session, when they will pick a redistricitng plan to submit to the US Justice Department. So mark your calendar now if you plan to attend.
NO MORE PUBLIC HEARINGS... If you didn't say, what cha' wanted to say, you ain't gonna get the chance to say it now. THEY THROUGH. Don't wanna hear nothing else from Y'ALL. That's right.
Last night was the last night for public hearings concerning this redistricting thing here in Wilson. So now whatcha' goin' do? If you didn't get downtown, to plead your case, to say your piece, you gonna hold yo' peace. That's the word on the street.
Now, if you saw the Council meeting last night on channel 8 or if you were in the presence thereof, the company of the city council folks at city hall, AP had a whole lot to say didn't he. What's going on with that? Don't know, but him and Bob got into it ... again. Yep! That's right. Bob. Bob. Bob.
AP & Bob at it again. That's right. Bob asked AP a question. AP did this "side-step thingy" by not answering the question and made Bob ... HOT! AP danced around that question so good, it even made George Leach,, Chair of the local NAACP get up and ask the question himself cause he wanted to know too.
Bob aggravated AP Coleman so much, AP ended up saying, and we quote, "I shoulda just kept my mouth shut." DANG! NOW...Ain't that some shi'ddigity... LOL. Alright, our time's up, we thank you for yours.

they are going to vote on the plan that leaves antiquated and outdated racil line district voting in place and keeps longterm special interest imcumbents in power and allows people to basically buy themselves a seat on council in districts where they spend 7000 dollars of personal and special interest money and need to garner less thanb 300 hundred votes out of 7000 registered voters to win in off year pathetic voter turnout. blacks are in the majority by over 5 percent of the city population and still need outdated voting rights laws to protect their interest.WHOSE VOTING RIGHTS ARE BEING PROTECTED WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MAJORITY? RIDICULOUS.

Good for Bob for asking the question. Sorry AP chose to side step the answer or the truth. It looks to me that AP is not planning on running again and could care less what happens to his district or the community. How very sad for him and how very good for the community that they know how things have been handled.
