Ed Wyatt, former City Manager and Board of Elections chairman for the city of Wilson has been named as the interim city manager for the city of New Bern.
According to the Sun Journal, the local newspaper, Wyatt met in a closed session meeting with aldermen on Saturday, January 9th to discuss the position. At the end of the session, after all the talking was done, a motion was made by an alderman to hire Wyatt. His salary and the terms of employment will be negotiated by the current interim city manager who leaves the position at the end of January.
