Wilson's MLK Jr Commemorative Events

In celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,

the following events are planned for King's Holiday on Monday, January 18, 2010.

7:00 am - Martin Luther King Jr., Ecumencial Prayer Breakfast -  Darden Alumni Center at 1600 Lipscomb Road - Tickets are $5.00 each and available at the Wilson's Art's Council or Darden Alumni Center

10 am - "Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., - Photo Exhibit - 10am - 7:30pm - Wilson Art's Center Reception - 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm - Free & Open to the Public

3:00 pm - MLK Jr., Chorale Celebration - Edna Boykin Cultural Center in Downtown Wilson - Free & Open to the Public

7:00 pm - The NAACP presents "A Martin Luther King Day" service at Contending for the Faith Church located at 1006 Academy Street
