Civic Duty

The RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CITIZENS

BUSINESS AS USUAL . . . SO, how’s that working for you … Especially when it comes to social equality and economic justice concerning the affairs of East Wilson and the residents who reside therein? Those relatives and friends who make up the fiber of this community in this place where “WE” call home.

“Equitable distribution of resources” continues to evade this community and the overall well-being of the Wilson community. And this has been the case for many, many years. As residents look for help and continue to hope that “ONE” day that “SOMEday” will arrive. KEEP DREAMING! Without “Faithful Folks” who are willing to rally together and take a “positive participatory stand “ together with one another and for one another for the cause of this community. East Wilson will continue to die this slow death as you’ve witnessed over the past TWO decades. PLEASE . . . Consider the following quotes...

“People might not get all they work for in this world, but they must certainly work for all they get.”

Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob, and degrade them, neither person or property will be safe.”

“It is not light that we need, but fire. It is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind and the earthquake.“

THESE THREE QUOTES ARE BY FREDERICK DOUGLASS

"Equitable distribution of resources ensures that all have full opportunities for personal and social development. Social Justice is the right and opportunity of all people to benefit from the resources afforded us by society and the environment."

Isn't it about TIME . . .

Somebody, Somewhere in this CITY find the COURAGE to CONFRONT THE SUBTLE ACTS of DISRCRIMINATION, SEPARATION AND THE INTENTIONAL STRUCTURAL AND SYSTEMATIC RACIST ACTIVITY that penetrates the core inner workings of the affairs of this city.
