Coodoos to Wilsonian Voices for picking up this story and running with it. To think in the history of the North Carolina Disabled American Veterans Department,a department that is more than seven decades old, this is the first ever African American to be elected to this prestigious and critical office. One would think and hope that this significant accomplishment would have received major news coverage. Regardless, as a African American DAV long time member I am extreamly proud of this time in North Carolina's history. Congratulations Commander Finger, and God Bless Wilsonian Voices.
