Jason Kessler, recently went to the Third Congressional District Democratic Party Convention held in Manteo this year. Upon arrival, he represented WIlson County as the third-vice chair for the county party.
By the end of the convention, he was elected as second vice-chair of the Third Congressional District. Not only does he cover Wilson county now but several others as well. Kessler still serves as chair of his home Precinct, K.
Kessler teaches in the Wilson County Schools system and states he is excited about serving. “I am excited about working to elect Democrats across the Third Congressional District,” Kessler said. “(The year) 2012 will determine the direction North Carolina takes for years to come. Republicans are attempting to tear apart years of Democratic-led progress that have transformed the state’s economy and social fabric. Most alarming is their assault on public schools in a period of time where education will determine an individual’s quality of life.”
Children’s futures are dependent upon state leaders working to ensure business continues to find North Carolina as an attractive place with a well-educated workforce so they will decide to build and expand here, Kessler said.
We wish him much success in his new position with the Third Congressional District.
