ALL THIS IS addressed to the WILSON TIMES editor who challenged the Mayor and City Staff on the process of how to hire a chief of police for the City of Wilson. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
WHERE DO YOU GET OFF THINKING YOU RUN SOMETHING IN THIS CITY OTHER THAN YOUR MOUTH? In high school over at Fike, we used to have a cheer that went a little something like this - YOU DID IT, YOU DID IT, YOU MIGHT AS WELL ADMIT IT - YO' ELBOW DID IT AND YOU STEPPED IN IT. (But it's not the elbow - any mo')

Now granted since FOREVER the WDT aka WILSON TIMES has been the main source and outlet folks have had to voice their opinions about local politics and community issues. AND IF YOUR GATEKEEPERS DEEMED A COMMENT GOOD ENOUGH  THEY'D LET IT PASS THROUGH THE GATE . . . AND . . . IF YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE COMMENT THE PUBLIC NEVER SAW IT.

WELL, GUESS WHAT WILSON TIMES . . .  WE DON'T NEED YOUR COMMENT SECTION ANY MORE. WHICH MEANS WE DON'T NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO SAY WHAT WE WANNA SAY - WHEN WE WANNA SAY IT...HOW WE WANNA SAY IT.

Now that I've got that outta my system - DID U FOLKS OVER AT THE TIMES REAAALLY THINK YOU WERE GONNA GET AWAY WITH WHAT YOU WROTE AND NO ONE IN THIS CITY  ADDRESS IT? PERHAPS ALL Y'ALL NEED TO BE FIRED AND A SEARCH FOR A NEW COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER BE CONSIDERED - HOW'D YOU LIKE THAT!

Mr. MAYOR . . . YOU REALLY SOCKED IT TO EM!  GOOD FOR YOU!  BRAVO & CHEERS on that letter back to the EDITOR. AND here's my last FHS cheer... WE'RE BEHIND YA, WE'RE BEHIND YA, GO, GO!  (at least for this moment in time)  LOL
