Davis remarked a primary component of his service in the new position is to be fair and inclusive. Speaking to representatives from 14 counties from within the 1st district, Davis stated "We have to communicate and get our stuff out. There is no one more important to get the word out than you." Davis fills the unexpired term of Gwen Wilkins, who was recently voted as the 1st Vice Chair of the NC State Democratic Party.
