Please Pass The Chicken

I'm so tired of hearing about a chicken plant that isn't even in Wilson. Not to mention Wilson is spending a million dollars to stop a plant in Nash County. Where was that million dollars when people struggled to pay light bills? Why don't they put that million dollars toward paying off the debt they owe so they can lower light bills.

My opinion is if this chicken plant was on the east side of town and not close to the west side of town (along with everything else in Wilson) we wouldn't be hearing a sound out of these people! I live on the east side and it seems everything is running to the "rich" side of Wilson and leaving our side of town. Now they don't want a "low-class" operation (in their eyes) stinking up their side of town. These people need to get real. I don't think it has anything to do with the environment as much as it does having a smell on their side of town!

Are they eating chicken? Yes. So they have to be grown somewhere and look at the jobs it is offering.

I live close to the Wayne County line and there are two hog facilities within two miles of my house. We have three turkey houses within three miles. And one human waste plant within two miles of our house. We didn't hear of Wilson paying any money to stop any of these plants. So why pay to fight for the west side? I'm not complaining about these plants or the smells we sometime smell when it is humid because I eat turkeys and pig! I wouldn't complain if it was a chicken plant either because I eat chicken, too!

I would love to see all of these people every time they eat a piece of chicken so I could tell them if they are going to fight these chicken plants they need to stop eating the chicken these plant might have housed! Get real people and go on with life. We need jobs to live and chickens to eat. So I say pay off your debts Wilson and lower light bills and leave Nash County alone.

amen Ellie. how much longer are the citizens of Wilson going to keep putting up with this bunch of arrogant, assine elected officials who apparently think they know more about environmental rules, regulations and concerns then the EPA and the NCDENR. they cant run business and industry away fast enough in wilson and wilson county with our high electric rates, nigh property tax and the arrogant attititude and the disdain and disrespewct they show for our citizenry, they feel compelloed to waste millions of OUR tax dollars to run jobs away in another county. the people of this state and county finally had sense enough to remove a 140 year corrupt democratic majority in both houses of the state legislature and a 7 term , previously seriously unchallenged corrupt incumbent sheriff. maybe, we can only pray ,they will have the good sense and keep up enough voter discontent , to avoid the usually apathetic 7 percent voter turnout we get in offyear mun icipal elections, to turnout the four lngtime serving dinosours on the municipal ballot this yeat, James M "Thurston Howell" same stupid people making same stupid statemednts, Johnson III, Gwen"wake me up if its anything important and i got to go my feet are killing me" Burton, A P" Conerstone Bank foreclosure of his real estate developement comapny assets and just for that dont kick me off the board of directors" Coleman and Hizzoner C Bruce Rose Plaza at Tasman Towers" i am not going to allow that and if you have something to say say it ans sit down and shut up "Rose.

East, west, north, or south, everyone needs clean water. It's essential for life...chicken isn't. And why would you expect the city of Wilson to spend a million dollars helpign people pay their utility bills? The people having trouble paying them make choices that bring it on themselves. Setting the thermostat on 80 when it's 30 outside doesn't help, either. There are plenty of jobs already available in Wilson for people who want to work. Instead they sit on their front porches waiting for their government checks to arrive.

This crackpot is everywhere ranting and raving about folks sitting on the front porch waiting for a government check. OK -Since you know they're sitting on the front porch where are you watching from?
