IT'S PRECINCT ORGANIZING TIME WILSON COUNTY!
Hey, Do you vote a democratic ticket in Wilson, NC? If that be the case, WE'RE TALKING TO YOU!
The Wilson County Democratic Party is hosting it's annual county-wide precinct organization meeting on Monday, February 28th at 6:00 pm @ Darden Alumni Center.
In the past only a handful of Wilson County precincts were ever organized and that by deliberate manuvering thanks to Chris Boykin - ex chair of the local Wilson Co. chapter.
Well, what you don't know can hurt you politically speaking. When you're left out of the process that can hinder your progress in the community when it comes to the issues concerning your local dem party.
If your precinct - where you go to vote IS NOT organized you don't have a voice or a vote when these issues arise. LIKE WHEN WE HAD TO GO TO THE COURTHOUSE BACK IN AUGUST 2010 FOR A SPECIAl MEETING TO VOTE ON A NEW CHAIR FOR OUR LOCAL PARTY 'CAUSE CHRIS BOYKIN REFUSED TO BACK OUR LOCAL DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR SHERIFF BACK CALVIN WOODRAD. BOYKIN WAS FORCED TO RESIGN AFTER A LETTER TO THE STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN RALEIGH WAS DELIVERED REQUESTING HIS REMOVAL. HE HAD TO BE REPLACED BUT ONLY A FEW PRECINCTS COULD VOTE FOR A NEW OFFICER!
NOW - How many of you didn't know about that special meeting back in August? And what about the meeting back in September 2010 to organize the precicnts that had been left out of the process and overlooked. If you didn't know any of this took place and you vote for the democratic party what do you call that situation. LET US HLEP YOU ... STILL LEFT BEHIND.
Make yourself available on Monday evening to join fellow neighbors and friends to organize your precinct.
It's one of the most important things you can do besides push the button at voting time to cast your vote for the democratic party. It really is.

Good Morning Wilsonian Voices!!
I was excited about the turnout at the joint Precinct Meeting for the Wilson Democratic Party last night. I know a LOT of credit goes to you all for getting the word out to your network here and on Facebook. So, I personally thank you for informing, inspiring and including!
We did not organize every precinct last night. We did, however, plant the seeds for EVERY precinct to be organized in the next two weeks. They will be! We are at the start of a window set by the NCDP to hold precinct meetings. So, we have the contacts and are working on gathering more quickly to make this happen.
We will post notices in the unorganized precincts, will contact those we know and will spread the word to try to include all that want to be involved.
I am inspired by the energy of this group and I again thank you all for all you're doing!
