After being soundly defeated by a two to one margin by his own lifelong affiliated democratic Party, soon to be ex-sheriff Wayne Gay in a classless and unstatesmanlike way, not only did not call and congratulate his worthy opponent he in fact took off in a temporarily insane rant.
He challenged the race and integrity of his own party, of which his own Major Chris Boykin is party chairman as well as wild threats of retaliation in a disturbing political satire. Even his own diehard party loyalist were dismayed at the loss of reality and integrity by the sheriff they thought they knew.
After a half- hearted so called apology a week later he explains all of the unjustified reasons he went off on this election night tirade and still unable to accept responsibility for it. He made a still un-statesmanlike apology, if that is what you want to call it to Calvin Woodard, his eloquent and esteemed opponent, promising to make a smooth transition to the new sheriff in November.
No sooner than he got the words out of his mouth came the word that 95 percent of voters were expecting, based on Gay’s actions, that his right hand man was jumping into a petition to get on the general election ballot as an unaffiliated candidate. Wayne had no comment after stating he had no endorsement at the present time. Yea right!!!!! like he is going to endorse defacto Sheriff Elect Woodard.
Say “NO” to Wayne Gay’s Regime
Apparently, they are not willing to take “no” for an answer. Gay and his regime apparently can’t accept the fact that the people have spoken and the “Gay Dynasty” appears to be over. He continues to show what a class act he really is.
Folks, I have posted tons of archival material both substanuating the Gay administrations shortcomings and the qualities that I feel make Calvin Woodard the candidate who would do the best job at restoring honor, dignity and fairness back into the sacred office of the Sheriff of Wilson County NC.
Our citizens deserve no less. Take the time to read or re-read the blogs I have made and study the information carefully in making this vitally important position.
Also, I hope we all can exert our efforts at getting Buck Newton elected to the NC State senate and replace the special interest “Fat cat” AB “show me the money" Swindell.
We also need to recruit honest citizen candidates to replace the mayor and the upper echelon of the city council that has been entrenched for so long and take our citizens for granted.
