Undisputed Truth & Distractions

Be not dismayed nor deceived ...God is not mocked. Knowledge is power. Information is Liberating.

For the sake of clarity, Wilsonian Voices would like to take a moment to explain a voting process that many have taken advantage of in this upcoming election.

We received information over the weekend there is a letter circulating throughout the community that is targeting the African American community and it questions the integrity and intent of individuals on the Woodard campaign staff.

For those of you who understand the procedure bear with us while we explain it to those who may not. We all need to understand how the process works to be better informed voters.
In this primary election, there are no republican candidates running for the office of Sheriff. If you are a registered republican voter in this county and you wanted to vote for a candidate who's running for sheriff you would not be able to vote on Tuesday, May 4th.

In order to do so, you would have to change your party affiliation to democratic or independent aka unaffiliated to do so. Many republican voters in the community decided that this race was too important not to cast a vote. So they changed their republican status to unaffiliated. Whether they vote for Calvin Woodard or Wayne Gay. They now can vote for somebody.

The letter circulating was written to plant a seed of suspicion and doubt in the community that questions why members of the Woodard staff who are not African American changed their affiliation for this campaign race. It implies there are some ulterior motives behind the scenes. Some conspiracy taking place. There is not.

Don't be fooled. Don't be deceived. And Don't get it twisted.

We just explained why they changed their affiliation. So they can vote.

This "Poisonous Propaganda" has been planted in the African American community by an African American to divide, hoo-doo and bamboozle the citizens of this community. Truth be told. The intention is to entice a spirit of prejudice and suspicion of why white-folks would be willing to help a black candidate get it into office. The answer is simple. CHANGE.

Race baiting and planting doubt in the mindset of a community is a strategy that has been used for years by the signer of the letter. (The individual whose signature is on the letter didn't necessarily write the letter, but was willing to sign it and take credit and responsibility for it).

Let's help our community and the citizens who have been targeted to better understand what's happening and what others who claim to be "positive activist" are really doing behind the scenes. "Ain't no fool like an old school fool who didn't finish school trying to tell somebody else what to do."

And you know - we're telling the truth. “Speaking Truth to Power." Cause the “Power” doesn't know what the truth is - so somebody needs to help them out. That would be Wilsonian Voices.

Knowledge is Power. Information is Liberating. Kofi Annan
